ColdFusion mySQL and foreign characters

If you are using a coldfusion DSN to connect to mySQL database to access foreign characters and display them on your website , then you may need to ask your provider to enable Unicode characters in the connection string.
If your website doesn't display the foreign characters properly, ask them to insert this in the Adanecd options of the mySQL ODBC: useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=iso-8859-1
This would ensure the DSN connection is being carried over the proper unicode.
